1st class Signed for letter delayed

Post by syzio »

Hello everyone,
I would like to ask you about 1st class signed for mail. I sent letter by this service on 19th September and it's not delivery yet. What is interesting, the letter was sent within London (from E15 to N7), but with the wrong end of postcode (should be DB, but I typed BB). Why it takes so long? I think, wrong post code it's not a problem because both of these codes are located close to each other. So what is the problem?

Usually a wrong postcode within the same postcode district only causes a delay of a day or two.
You don't mention whether it was meant for
Brecknock Road, N7 ODB,
Lowman Road, N7 6DB,
London Metropolitan University, N7 8DB or
Kelby House, N7 9DB.
There are no N7 OBB, 6BB or 9BB postcodes but if the address wasn't written clearly there's a small chance it's gone to
74 Bryantwood Road, N7 7BB or
Davey Close, N7 8BB.
Incidentally my brother used to live in Quelch House just off the Brecknock Road and the area was rough as a bear's arse  , but it might have improved now :Very Happy .

Have you recently entered the 13 digit 'Signed For' number ( ending GB ) on the Royal Mail website https://www.royalmail.com/track-your-item" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ?
Failing that enquire at the Callers Office at Royal Mail's Holloway Delivery Office early next week, and maybe check with the postroom at the London Metropolitan University.
Good luck.

http://www.royalmail.com/trackdetails" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

That's probably a better place for the OP to try the "Signed For" number as if delivery was not successfull it should (hopefully) state the reason why.

@syzio did you have the full return address on the back of the letter?

Hi, I checked my tracking number many times on both of these websites and it's showing only 'accepted from sender'. I also included full return address. Still waiting
