Hi,
I just sent a parcel via International Standard to the Netherlands, using a "Post & Go" box in a post office. It told me it would cost £3.20, but when it printed the label it said the weight was 0.00kg.
I questioned this and they said it was probably fine so I sent it off. I just checked the Royal Mail site and apparently it should have cost £3.70 to send, so I didn't pay enough postage.
My question is, what will happen to this item? Will it get to its destination? It had my return address on the back, at least.
Thanks,
Jake.

Re: Not Enough Postage
Jake, I will have leave it to one of the RM bods to tell you what happens next, but I thought I would confirm that what happened to you is possible if you don't put your parcel on the scales promptly when the machine tells you to. A software update a couple of years ago largely eliminated the issue but it still happens very occasionally.
I suppose the question to RM staff is: do the black & white Post & Go labels get checked by revenue protection like everything else? If so, will the item be marked Return To Sender?

Re: Not Enough Postage
I would not have thought that 'Post And Go' would be anything of a priority for Revenue Protection so there must be a fair chance that it will get through okay.

Just to tell you what happened, it did end up going through :) Seemed to take a while though, but it got there in the end :p
