We have not been paid £23m for this contract. Royal Mail have not said how much we have been paid for it. Around £1.5m would be a reasonable guess since the normal price for a D2D of this type over six days is about 6p per item. Obviously there will be a premium for delivering it over 2 days. There is no way they are paying more than the 1c price for a D2D :left:

No, I am not a total idiot. It would, however, seem that you are. In the document you have linked to, a D2D of 36-60g (the sun D2D was 54g) with >10m circulation costs between £55.93 and £64.86 per 1000 items. So that is about 6p each.
