Will I be charged by customs?

Post by oooooh »

Hi guys, I had a delivery come in from the states using USPS whereby it's passed on to parcelforce.

My tracking states:

06-06-2014 00:11 International Hub Awaiting Customs clearance
06-06-2014 00:10 International Hub Awaiting Customs clearance
05-06-2014 18:47 International Hub Received in destination country
04-06-2014 09:27 Delivery Agent - NEW YORK -PTT Forwarded for export
04-06-2014 09:26 Delivery Agent - NEW YORK -PTT Forwarded for export

value of the goods are $2900 and they are car parts, I forgot to ask the seller if they have marked it down in terms of value and if they have sent it as repaired goods or as a gift.

If i will be charged, does anyone know how much?

many thanks

Yes, and 2900 dollars = £!727 x 20% = £345.40 + £8 fee = £353.40

Say if the seller didn't mark down value, is there any chance it could slip through and i wouldn't get stung?

From my experience, customs just make numbers up and then add or take away as the whim takes them.
Then RM add £8 ........which used to be £4.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

No offence but doing that is actually breaking the law
