For a start these two feckers have been nowhere near ALL the talks!
It's still got too go too the vote!
And if its s**t then we vote NO
as much as it pains me to say it I think you'll find if Crozier is making the threat to withdraw then they will have alreadt gained Gov backing. Brown has taken a massive pasting this week. Backing off against a union won't do him any favours

If we ain't sorted in next couple of days it really is all out war!!

pickaname wrote:Well Leighton and Crozier have threatened to withdraw from talks permanently if this isnt accepted so lets hope Hayes et al dont bottle it like Brown...

Theres no chance the workers will accept this...if the CWU accept this they will trigger Unoffical IA all over...

Perhaps this is what RM want so they can break the strike by calling it unlawful....crafty f***ers.
good let them withdraw from the talks, lets have someone who talks some sense instead of these 2 fuckwits...

give them thier payoff so they can f**k off and destroy another company..

[quote="Rommagic"]LoveJoy is this true?

5.4% on basic pay from October 2007If all agreed, a lump sum of £175 in October sometime.

quote]
Backpay on £324 from Apr is £421 alone, so with a lump sum of £175 we are £246 out of pocket straight away.
But to be honest i don't give two monkees about the back pay or even getting a pay rise. What i don't want is all these strings!

I don't want to go back to NO OVERTIME.

I don't expect delivery postman to change from an agreement to job and finish to a situation where there is no overtime payment for extra work.

I don't expect postman to do d2d for nothing.

I don't expect postman to be photographed at their frame.

I don't expect to be told to change my times of attendence at short notice.

i do expect to get a decent pension.

I do expect to retire at 60.
If we go back for a few gold coins we must be mad.

Take it from me this will make 'the way forward' look great!
Stand up and be counted or rue the day you didn't!
Postman think of the extra money from d2d and overtime...gone.
Mail centres...think of life without docket...(tempting i know!)

As they said you are 25% overpaid so the postmans wages on delivery needs to drop by £81....so you lose d2d £20 gone, you lose 8 hours o/t a week thats £64, so there you have it over 25% saved!
Mail centres will lose so much more...think hard!

It worries me that the union will recommend we agree to this just to end the dispute...if so what then? All out unofficial action? It all stinks of a setup to crush the union...

More to-ing and fro-ing.

The last few days the union had the upperhand bigtime. Now, RM in one final push, i guess, are going to the talks with literary nothing to loose. If the union disagree, Al/AC walk away for good, RM is thrown into utter chaos, all sorts of unofficial IA cover the country and the government will then have to step in.

If the meetings at 5pm tonight, by 6pm we might even know - depends how long all sides sit round the table. this could be a very quick meeting, considering a lot of us know the new deal on offer, and we don't like it - the union must surely realise the offer is yet another way of showing utter contempt to employees.

Ward and Hayes - you've done well recently with good PR, full page adverts, don't now waste all that money, in what is a pretty absymal offer.

Just saw on ITV london tonight the talks scheduled for 5pm tonight have broken down already with management threatening union reps with disciplinary procedures for inciting current unofficial actions...

Get the feeling talk talk is well and truly over
