Re: BRAZIL POST
No I wouldn't panic yet but Brazil Post as you are probably aware can be quite slow. However as it now appears to be in Brazil you might be able to track in on their website http://www.correios.com.br/?set_language=en" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: BRAZIL POST
Thanks for your help gentleman, trueblueterrier I checked that website and it reads as follows
Data Local Situação
17/05/2014 09:16 UNIDADE TRAT INTERNACIONAL PARANA - CURITIBA/PR Encaminhado
Em trânsito para FISCALIZACAO ADUANEIRA - FISCALIZACAO ADUANEIRA/BR
17/05/2014 09:15 UNIDADE TRAT INTERNACIONAL PARANA - CURITIBA/PR Conferido
Recebido/Brasil
Which basically translates as it has gone to customs, which is a standard procedure here according to a friend at my hostel.
Guess I need to just be Patient, I will keep you updated and hopefully it has a happy ending.
The first game I'm watching is on June 28th so should be here by then!
Again thanks for your help :)

Re: BRAZIL POST
Just been doing some research on google, and apparently post can be stuck in customs for weeks and even months at a time. So I think luck is going to play a part in this! Maybe it might be worth calling customs and seeing if there is a way of speeding this up! I have 5 weeks so fingers crossed! And to be honest they have probably seen that there is World Cup tickets inside and had them for themselves!
Stay positive I guess!

Good luck with Brazilian customs, they're one the slowest and most inefficient in the world - i'm talking probable 2-3 month delays before that item gets to anyone.

Re: BRAZIL POST
So when Royal Mail says '5-7 working days' they mean 3 months? There goes my chance of getting my World Cup tickets here in time then!

Re: BRAZIL POST
No Royal Mail do mean 5-7 working days and thats the contract/agreement they have with all the Universal Postal union members, of which Brazil is a co-signer so they quite rightly expect that to happen. My own feeling is that you should receive it in time, but I would keep checking the tracking system. If there is any way of getting a duplicate and getting it sent by courier that may be worth looking into just in case.Bewley74 wrote:So when Royal Mail says '5-7 working days' they mean 3 months? Re: BRAZIL POST
Ok I see, I actually got hold of the Brazilian company 'correios today, and apparently they know mine is priority and should take up to 15 working days, which is slightly better news I guess. As for getting a duplicate ticket, I asked FIFA today and they said no straight away. Don't blame them as I could have sold them for all they know.
