IIRC WPCs did not exist at the time of the Way Forward Agreement. "Non-school training" is not the same as being a WPC

you were the one who said it was illegal not me, whether its supported or not matters nothing, its perfectly legal to use seniority and it addmitably may not be the fairest but at least it is very very transparent
I said it's not legally recognised I didn't say it was illegal. The government never even approved of us using seniority to pick duties they wanted us to get rid of it but when there was no fairer way to pick dutys so it was left be but seniority is only used on one or two things such as picking duties and not for everything that is Royal Mail.

And being a WPC is not the same now as it was.

actually you did say it was illegal

Also the fact offices use seniority for repicks etc has nothing to do with the goverment

No, only the fact that up until recently we were government owned. And I didn't say seniority was illegal but there are some things that it can't be used for or you would have a case to take any company to court for discrimination.

you clearly did say it would be illegal to give someone a job based on seniority, which is not illegal to do, what things then do you believe cannot be decided on by seniority?
