I have to mention this, I don't know if it's been reported on this forum before.
We were due to receive some items by Special Delivery before embarking on a business trip via train.
Head office sent the documentation by Royal Mail Special Delivery before 9am service.
08:30 came, no delivery
08:45 came, no delivery
Panicking now as train departs station as 09:20 and I need to be on it.
08:50, 08:55 - what's happening?
09:00, still no delivery..
Knock on the door at 09:06 - "sorry I'm late" I was fuming. Signed and thought to make a complaint later, luckily train was re-timed at 09:28 so just made it.
Arriving back home later I decided to make a complaint, I entered the tracking number to do so, and what's this I see? Delivered at 08:59!!
This is plain wrong, and is a fraudulent entry as far as I am concerned. Even the hand held terminal on which I signed shows the time as after 09:00, how can this then be logged as a delivery at 08:59?
£25 the postage was from head office, but this is not the point. How can this be right for a firm that is supposedly reliable? And it's not as though I'm in a remote location, I'm in Coventry!
Any advice on what to do?

You could send RM a tweet (https://twitter.com/RoyalMail" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) on Monday.
In the mean time do you mind trying the tracking number at http://www.royalmail.com/trackdetails" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and posting the complete tracking info?

Ok if you follow the link provide by spacephoenix and post the results here,
Its good that you signed it on the handheld terminal (pda as we call it) as this records the exact time that the item was delivered and there is no way to fake the time of your signature on it, posting the info from the link above will enable us to tell you if the item was scanned as delivered twice, first by the postman scanning it himself and then secondly at the time you signed for it

I'm still not sure how you can change the time, maybe someone can let me know.

And yet the OP said that's what happened, so I take it that I should direct my question to Stephen Hawking for an answer.bringon4dayweeks wrote:you can not change the timeDGP1 wrote:I'm still not sure how you can change the time, maybe someone can let me know.
