I am new to this forum and have recently been sent a package from the UK to the United States (Portland, Maine) and I am hoping that someone can help me out with more information. The package was sent via Airsure on March 17th, 2014 and the tracking shows that the package was sent to the US but the tracking does not show as being received in the US. The tracking has not been updated since the 18th. The person that sent me the package also sent another package using the same airsure service that same day to a different address in the US, that package has since been delivered and the tracking information was being constantly updated a long the way. This package is very important to me.
Can an employee of Royal Mail help me track this package? Is it stuck in customs, would the tracking say that if that were the case?
Here is what my tracking information says as of today.
18/03/14 AM DESPATCHED TOKENNEDY NEW YORK UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
17/03/14 19:47 DESPATCHABLE TOHWDC AIRSURE STOCKPORT LOCKER 1 AND 2
17/03/14 14:38 COLLECTED STOCKPORT LOCKER 1 AND 2
17/03/14 10:29 ACCEPTED AT POL 6 Gorton Road SK5 6AF
When I tracking the package on the usps.com website I get only this:
Origin Post is Preparing Shipment
Should I be worried? Any help that can be provided would be greatly appreciated - thanks in advance! I am willing to provide the tracking # if you think that will help.

Re: Royal Mail Airsure - Tracking Question
NO I wouldn't be worried the US border controls can slow packets down a lot as they keep changing the rules, but you can't tell it is because USPS can't scan it till it clears customs.
Give it another few days and then try the official channels - if you are on Twitter @RoyalMail are pretty good but they are closed till 8am Monday now.

Re: Royal Mail Airsure - Tracking Question
oK great - so in all likelihood it's sitting in customs in NY then? The shipper keeps telling me that sometimes packages will go in "stealth" mode and it's possible that a package won't receive any additional tracking information than what it currently shows until it is delivered. Is that something that could happen?
Thanks for responding so quickly.

Yes it can happen, as with Royal Mail, USPS has a lot of people working for it and Human error creeps in occasionally. If you haven't seen any movement over the next 3 or 4 days I would try and contact Royal Mail on twitter and the USPS equivalent.comixcroz wrote:oK great - so in all likelihood it's sitting in customs in NY then?
