I think after reading troubles' original post unless I am picking it up wrong there is no mention of how many hours those involved work or that they are getting paid or claiming carers allowance. Surely someone can be classified as a carer without getting paid or claiming carers allowance and are still subject to the same rights or it would be discrimination.

Yes that is the impression I got too. Maybe I picked up on your earlier comments wrong as I took it you were saying that if you work full time then you are unable to be a carer.
Sorry if I picked you up incorrectly.

You can be a carer and have a job to, he just can't claim allowances because he has a job. That's like sayinga single mum isn't classed as a single mum if she has a job.

Failure to provide reasonable adjustments is disability discrimination.

Hi
Ive sent 3 emails to Linda Roy, no answer, so I gave up!
Past experience tells me that Linda Roy is excellent even though she does take time to get back to you - just imagine how many emails she must get!
