They're probably giving them the heads up for any cutoffs and excess too or deliveries that need covering so they come in early to complete theirs and then do O/T and still get home on time, which under the new work methods isn't meant to happen. "Everyone has an equal delivery span and should be back in the office around the same time" :hmmmm yeah right!

Assuming you all start prepping and going out at the same time, then it still isn't right even now in our office. It's been over three years now and they are looking at deliveries, again, to "balance them out" - their (management) words!]
I work my time. Come in on time, do our scheduled delivery, minus the ludicrous excess on our P&L, and return at the correct time and go home.
As for O/T albeit called docket, excess etc, call it what you want? I do that as and when I want or need it as I got shafted a good few years ago and now only do it when I want it and not when they want me to do any.

Our DOM came up with good news!
Starting from monday no one will be allowed to start their duties earlier!
I you turn up early will have to sit in canteen!
Quite a lot posties wasn't happy with that!
But I am.
Yesterday my duty start at 7:30.
Came in 10 mins early. Only sequence was preped. 5 trays of IPS to do. 2 sacks of packets and over 40 redirections. About 8:20 my partner already had baged all his frame!
Obviously he wasn't happy to wait on me another 40 mins. Watching over my shoulder and stressing me even more. And very disappointed when we come back 20 mins late!
So yes. I am happy with new rules!

Talk about double standards by the DOM.
If you come back early the DOM wants you to do work in the office until your finish time but early starters/runners take their round out,and the O/T as well, finish their round early and then do the O/T before their official finish time and then come back.

It is rarely a DOM who makes the decision to stop early starters.
The order usually comes from up above. (Regional managers?)
Sometimes they are quite interested to learn that their orders are being ignored.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

New broom at ours starting Monday.
No coming in early, M/R must be taken, anyone doing O/T must do it at the end of the duty time.
Anyone coming back early will be kept in the office until duty time elapsed.
I give until Tuesday before we are back to normal :left:

We were told last week to come in on our time and not earlier, yet there's still people coming in an hour early so they can do their D2D's but not getting paid for it.

as of monday next week we are starting all this new direction time management.

breaks to be taken one before we go out and one whilst out on delivery, change in times etc. gunna be chaos, our office hardly ever brings back mail but with these new times i have a feeling that'll soon change.

has anyone actually had success with the new way of sorting? (backless frames etc)
