International Signed For Small Packets

Post by Gourcuff »

Hello Everyone. I have a parcel coming in from China to the UK/Crawley. Its sent as International Signed For Small Packets weighing around 1.5-2kg. I'm wondering why tracking only has this so far,
Please come back later

We have been notified that your item is being shipped by the retailer; the next scan will appear when we receive this item.
I thought it would say a little more? I'm told and read it will take around 5-7 days to get to me. The parcel was shipped on Tuesday. Is there any chance I'll get it this week?

Royal Mail were warned a parcel with that tracking number would be posted on the 12th. There is nothing to indicate that it has actually been handed over yet

From China rarely - from what I gather Customs always keep an eye on stuff coming from China, mainly because of the "Fake Goods" trade

Based on the time of the latest entry there it'll probably be delivered Monday. What's the 1st two letters of the tracking number?

Based on that information it has been posted Royal Mail Tracked probably the 48hour service and should be delivered on Monday. (you may have bought it from a seller in China but it has been shipped from within the UK)

We all are - As far as I know no foreign mail needs to go through a Regional Distribution Centre (RDC). Certain confirmation will be the last 2 letters of the tracking code.

GB origin is UK
CN is China

Yup it has GB at the end. I'm pretty annoyed now. I was led to believe it was being shipped from China. Thanks soo much, I'm glad I joined here. I'll inspect it all on Monday. Is it even remotely possible that the sender has managed to get hold of a GB reference and the parcel has moved from another depot without scan? You say certain confirmation will be the GB ending which the tracking # has, is there anything to look out for on the parcel itself apart from the obvious, a Chinese tag?

an import sticker (CN22 or CN23) would be an indication it came from overseas (some are green).

As to not being scanned - I would say with it probably being a tracked24 or tracked48 item (The FG intimates it is) then its almost impossible, the chances are vanishingly small. Most tracked items start their journey in RMs system at a RDC, FG is a UK Royal Mail number and the statuses you have posted are all typical UK Tracked results.
