Prepaid return gone missing - who's responsible?

Post by OnAFlyer »

Afternoon all

Just seen a question on another forum and I'm not sure of the answer. Basically the guy sent back a £125 pair of shoes via a prepaid return label, the company (Millets) have said they never received them back.

So who's responsible? Is it Millets because the prepaid label means the contract is between them and RM?

Cheers

I would imagine there are two separate issues one between millets and the customer and providing that the customer had proof of posting, one between millets and RM.

It's just like buying half a dozen stamps and then saying I had posted something, I would still need proof of posting to prove I had actually entered into a contract with RM. The prepaid label is not in itself a delivery contract.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

The guy has proof of postage from the PO, Millets are saying he should have paid extra for signed for even though it was a prepaid label.

Then I would definitely says it's for Millits and RM to sort out between them. If Millits want signed for they should pay for signed for, It's their returns process.

I thought so, cheers. Will tell him to be more forceful with them!
