sorry only just came back on here my contract finished on the 27-2-13 and had a permanent contract come through about 2-3 weeks later but like i said wasnt told anything and i was always on the reserve rota so just kept turning up

Royal Mail can terminate employment of a fixed term temp contract employee at any time up to 4 years.

But the law of the land states that any temp employee who passes the 4 years period has to be offered a permanent contract.

we had a cwu meeting last summer with area reps and was told by them if you have been employed for 2 years continuously then you have to be made permanent.

Ive heard that as well and im hoping thats right cause im only 2 months from the 2 years
