Postman Short Film - Help needed!

Post by onlinefilmfund »

I am an A level filmmaker in Bounds Green, London, N11. I am making a film called Postman, about the superhero vigilante who fights postal crime. In his debut short film, he confronts The Fiddler, a postal menace who has re-routed all deliveries to his warehouse.

The film is very tongue in cheek, and spoofs the Batman films and superhero genre in general throughout. In one scene, Postman leaves the Postcave via his street level elevator, which is disguised as a Postbox. He jumps out of the Postbox, then gets in the Postmobile (a Royal Mail trolley, the ones which postmen carry their batches in on a day's work). This scene parodies both the Batcave and Batmobile, as well as helping to create an immersive atmosphere and a strong, believable character. However, for the scene to work, I would need both access to the inside of a postbox (after the mail has been taken out) and a Royal Mail trolley. If anyone local could help me acheive this, or anyone can give me some help in how to do so, it would be much appreciated. Obviously, whatever help you can offer is better than none, and if anyone was willing to help it would of course be at a time to suit you.

In an effort to get help with my film, I am also trying to find a postman who used to work on my road. His name was Ronnie, he had short, greying hair and was an avid Man U and Barnet FC supporter, and a very kind and friendly man who would often stop and chat. Unfortunately, around two years ago he was moved to another spot (in Enfield, I think). Any help in finding him so I can have a chat would also be appreciated.

Thanks,

There is a red post-box, situated on the corner of Baker Street which allegedly houses a secret agent mouse and his bespectacled hamster sidekick....you could try that one.

Other than that you're definitely not going to fit inside one.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share
