Having recently commented on a similar post ( http://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/communit ... =6&t=59242" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ) I now ironically find myself in a similar predicament.
I sent some goods back to an online store using a Royal Mail prepaid label which had an address in Yorkshire (Selby IIRC, YO postcode). Tracking is as follows:
06/01/14 15:26 ON DELIVERY MANCHESTER MAIL ORDER RET
31/12/13 14:33 ACCEPTED AT POL 79 The Rock BL9 0NB
Not bothered about the timescale as I know we have had New Year's Day in between. However I am concerned that the location for yesterday's ON DELIVERY scan (nothing since also...) is MANCHESTER MAIL ORDER RET when the address is in Selby.... My attention was then drawn to this post on the earlier thread:
Do you reckon it's worth checking with my DO? I know I am ultimately covered but a) could do without the hassle and b) i'm sending it back for an exchange and really want the new stuff they should be sending me in return! Was it a catalogue return?
If so it may have been initially missorted. We've had a couple that have been attempted to be delivered back to the sender before their true destination was realised.
It may be worth checking at your local delivery office to see if they are holding an item for you.
Thanks as ever.
