Hi I sent a parcel with Christmas presents for a friend on 13/12/13 to Denmark, and of course I was expecting it to arrived by now.But it has not. When I use track and trace I get the following info
Date
Time
Status
Track point
17/12/13 12:45 DESPATCHABLE TODO NOT FLY - NRC HEATHROW WORLDWIDE DC
13/12/13 21:13 DESPATCHABLE TOHWDC SIGNED FOR ROAD 2 CHESTER MAIL CENTRE
13/12/13 20:41 COLLECTED CHESTER MAIL CENTRE
13/12/13 11:39 ACCEPTED AT POL Maesbrook Road SY3 9NL
So it is stuck in heathrow?
Thing is I checked none of the items are on the prohibited mailing list,it was packaged correctly..And return address to me was clearly labelled on the pack of the package.Kinda of annoyed to be honest with this, nothing is more heartwrenching then telling someone sorry your not getting any xmas presents this year.
Any help is greatly appreciated

Re: Trouble with Parcel
The scans you have shown would suggest that its on its way to Denmark so it should get there but probably after Christmas now.

Re: Trouble with Parcel
Guessing you sent it with either the Airsure or International Signed For service due to the tracking? Do you happen to have the price you paid and the weight of the item handy?

Thats probably why its going by sea 2kg is the normal limit for overseas mail. It could also be being returned to you, hopefully you did put a return address on it, if not call customer services in the morning and they should be able to advise whats happening to it.

Re: Trouble with Parcel
Unless I'm mistaken, you can't send items over 2kg unless they're printed papers. Looking at the cost you've paid, it looks like they've charged you for a 2kg small packet (at £13.65), then they've added the 0.5kg supplement for printed papers (at £2.90) then the additional International Signed For service (at £5.30). Now unless your item is printed papers (I imagine not being a present), then the post office shouldn't have accepted it. Did they ask you for the contents?
I'm confused why they didn't offer to send your item via Parcel Force, with their Economy delivery (six days) being cheaper at £20.34 inclusive of VAT.

Re: Trouble with Parcel
Just like to say thank you to everyone that helped found out what the problem was, apparently one item was deemed unsafe to send and my parcel will be returned to me.Unsure what item it was till I get it back.
But again just like to say thanks and Happy Christmas to all

Re: Trouble with Parcel
In my experience, it will NEVER COME BACK.
Lost a box full of Christmas presents sent on the 14th December, containing designer handbag and perfume via Special Delivery. My wife packed a gift set in error, just never thought about it. That will be destroyed!
Posted some air gun parts that got confused with a gas container, that has been destroyed!
£300-400 quid gone! Brace yourself for bad news!
