There is no extra pay for over time, it's just extra hours paid at your standard hourly rate.pinkal121 wrote:Do royal mail xmas casuals get paid time and a half for overtime done? could someone please tell me as i a struggling to find out this anwser

Re: overtime
If you are AWR eligible, I believe you get an 'overtime' rate after 35 hours in a week (Sat-Fri)

Which is actually less than normal rate for most shifts.synyster_slash wrote:If you are AWR eligible, I believe you get an 'overtime' rate after 35 hours in a week (Sat-Fri)

Re: overtime
That is correct certainly on night shifts the reason for it is that part of the rate includes a shift allowance the same as the regular employees.Verging wrote:Which is actually less than normal rate for most shifts.synyster_slash wrote:If you are AWR eligible, I believe you get an 'overtime' rate after 35 hours in a week (Sat-Fri)
As they do not get paid extra shift allowance for overtime then they cant pay it to us either as that would obviously be unfair.

Re: overtime
Unfortunately, it is also less than my normal shift pay without any shift allowances.Bazza01 wrote:That is correct certainly on night shifts the reason for it is that part of the rate includes a shift allowance the same as the regular employees.Verging wrote:Which is actually less than normal rate for most shifts.synyster_slash wrote:If you are AWR eligible, I believe you get an 'overtime' rate after 35 hours in a week (Sat-Fri)

Re: overtime
Going by a pre Christmas week I just did, it's cumulative across shifts (as I covered different shifts) and goes down after 35 and 2/3 hours and again after 45 and 2/3 hours.
That's with Angard anyway
