Neither, the houses 3 miles away are behind mine (as the crow flys), and slightly to the left (if you draw a line on the map from my house to the others with the same PC, then it goes through the farm to their houses.

not as the crow flies or draw a line, you have already said the farm is on another road,

on the road that your on is the next house along the road on the same or a different post code both to the left and right along the road

The farm will be big enough to have its own postcode. I used to do a business delivery, all the firms on the main rd had one postcode, except one it was a massive office and and warehouse for a major multinational, this site had one delivery point, but had its own postcode, the smaller units either side had the same postcode as each other, but different to the larger complex. After the original multinational moved out, another moved in and had two units in the same street with their own delivery points, the only way to tell which mail went where was with the postcode.

yes it doesnt, from that it look like your post code is fairly correct, the houses with the same post code are the next ones along the main road to the left, you didnt tell me which ones were to the right, so you are either at the end or still in the middle of a post code area, as some one else mentioned the farm may have its own business postcode but yours probably will be the same as the ones down the road, i have seen the one post code cover an area upto 20 miles along a rural road before so three miles is not really a big deal, sorry but i dont think you will get them to change your postcode
