Lost parcel

Post by sylia1284 »

Dear Sir/ Madam,

I sent a parcel from Greece on the 29th of Oct to London. It reached Heathrow on the 31st Oct (flight 3218 30 Oct) and since then it apparently got stuck at Heathrow Distribution Centre.
The tracking number is RE214966394GR.
The greek ELTA has made an investigation but failed to find the parcel.
It is really important to track it and at least to return it back to the sender. Its value is more than 200 euros, not to mention sentimental value and after all it has been sent as a signed parcel just to be on the safe side.
I would really appreciate your help, as it is not a solution to report it as lost and ask for compensation.

Thank you very much,
Kind Regards,
VB

This seems to be an issue with Greek post, not Royal Mail.

Have you tried to contact Royal Mail via twitter they have more access than the standard customer service rep.

Http://twitter.com/royalmail" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Quote your tracking number when contacting them.

there are large delays at customs at heathrow at the moment, its not unheard of taking more than a month to clear customs, so it may still be delivered

If the parcel was sent from Greece I don't this it would go through customs. It has probably been delivered without signature being taken
