Moved to Angard forum.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

I'd go with RM where possible, Angard is just casual workers.

If you're new to Angard expect minimum wage, and no you don't get a RM polo shirt, you'll be lucky to get a high-vis vest

You'll also be lucky to get correct pay. Or hours. Or breaks.

Good luck.

Why - RM seem to be taking on casuals just for Christmas. If the casuals stay on they will generally be transferred after Christmas to Angard - like last year.

When our place had RM jobs available last year the precedence for the jobs was RM permanents, then Angard casuals then everyone else.

Very much depends on: the shifts; weekdays or Sunday; where you work and what you do. They claim to have 2000+ pay rates.
