Got an airsure no signature tracking number from UK. However, when I enter it into the track and trace field, I get a "not correct format" message.
The tracking number is in the following format. Starts with the letter R followed by 10 digits, and ending with letters GB.
I asked the shipper to double check the number and he replied and said to check within 48 hours. It has been over 36 hours now and still getting the error message.
So is this an invalid tracking number?

That is what I thought. I hope the shipper simply made a mistake and isn't playing games. We shall see.
Thanks.

Re: Is this a valid tracking number format?
Just got a reply from the shipper and he did give me an incorrect tracking number. But now he gave me a tracking number that starts with RI followed by 9 digits and ending with GB. When I enter that tracking number, I get the following message
"The reference number you have entered may be incorrect. Please check and try again. Find out more about tracking reference numbers. Information on your International Signed For™ item is not yet available."
Do some royal mail tracking #'s start with RI?

Your tracking number is valid but this is International Signed For and not Airsure. What country is it going to?

Re: Is this a valid tracking number format?
It is definitely International Signed For and not Airsure.
Good news is that you will still retain tracking visibility on the item via the USPS. The USPS will almost certainly, however, require a signature from you to deliver.
