Hi,
Was hoping someone can shed any light on what will happen to the item I posted today.
It was a large letter, and I asked the PO to send via 1st class Signed For, which should be £2.00. I send several of these per week, so I know it should have been £2.00
I have only just noticed that the receipt says £1.70, which is the price for a standard letter, not a large letter.
Also the tracking number will not work.
Can anyone tell me what is likely to happen to my item. My customer wanted it asap and I'm worried this is going to cause big problems
Thanks in advance for any advice

Re: Post Office charged wrong postage
If it has a horizon label on it will be delivered as normal. If they put stamps on it may be surcharged. Signed for is not tracked so your barcode number will not show anything intil after the item has been delivered (or attempted delivery)

Re: Post Office charged wrong postage
Thanks.
EDIT: The receipt says "Horizon Certificate of Posting", so going by what you say, it should hopefully be delivered as normal. Fingers crossed
With the tracking, I normally get this:
"We have your item - Item abc was posted at xyz and is being progressed through our network for delivery."
But with this item in question I get:
"Please come back later - Information on your item is not yet available online. Information on your Royal Mail Signed For™ item is not yet available."
So maybe the PO didn't scan the barcode, as well as putting the wrong postage on it.

It more than likely wasn't scanned by the PO. Not all of them do it all the time. RD isn't a tracked product, most of the time there's only one scan and that's to say delivered (or a couple of scans if not delivered!)
