Timescale on getting packages returned from nrc belfast
Hi
I wonder if you can help me. A parcel I was sending to Europe via signed delivery was not allowed to fly so the fore sent to belfast. I just wondered I have not put return address on it (I know stupid of me) but how long from it arriving and me contacting Custer service to give my address for the returned parcel does it roughly take.
I would appreciate any helpful information. :)

Normally about a week once it's been passed over to them, though if it's been sent there due to containing a prohibited item that's not allowed to fly, as far as I know the package is destroyed and you won't get it back sorry!

Really???? :( It was a stupid little nail varnish as a gift along with baby stuff. When I spoke to customer service they said they would open the package and prob throw away that item but deliver the rest back to me. Is this not true???

Yes, doesn't Warrington put it all in a container for the ferry ?barrowc wrote:As far as I now, it goes over on the ferry
Belfast seems an out-of-the-way place this, but maybe it was decided during 'The Troubles' that making a few jobs over there might give less spare time for rioting.

Everything goes by ship regardless of being inland or international, and it takes at least a week from receipt at the NRC to be processed. If you don't have a RTS address you will a have to contact Customer Services to do a search and you get it back 4 weeks later minus anything considered dangerous goods.

Thanks for that info. I have already been in contact with customer service even tho not at NRC yet and given description of goods, so hopefully may be able to get back a bit sooner.

No, not at all funny and I've no idea how you could imply that, and you surely don't deny that although historic divisions may have been the root cause of the Troubles they were fuelled by poverty and unemployment, and other factors too.aiden01 wrote:So you find the troubles in Belfast were funny you idiot surprised that post was,nt removed a lot of innocent people lost their lives don't find it very funny.Lounge Lizard wrote:Yes, doesn't Warrington put it all in a container for the ferry ?barrowc wrote:As far as I now, it goes over on the ferry

It's much the same as the Government realising jobs needed to be devolved from London and spread around the UK a bit more fairly, like DVLA to Swansea, National Savings to Glasgow, etc.
