Hi,
I have recently concluded purchase of a newly built property. I had requested for registration of the address in the last week of July and it was done promptly ... as I remember checking the address finder on the RM website on 01-Aug-13 and could see my address.
Last week I ordered a phone line and was surprised to be told by the provider that BT Openreach could not process the order as the address was not registered with RM. Needless to say, I insisted with the person on the phone that the address was indeed already registered with RM but was surprised when the person told me that he was on the RM website and could not see my address. On checking myself I was shocked to note that the address was no longer visible on the RM website.
I fail to understand why the address was removed from the database? The house next door is yet to be built and I can see that address on the RM website but my address, where the construction is complete and humans are living in, has been removed from the database for some reason!!!!
How can I get this resolved ASAP? I had filled up the online enquiry form on Friday, explaining the situation, but no action has been taken as yet.
How can I find the nearest RM delivery / sorting office nearest to my address? Can I go there personally and have the address added?
Is there a phone number that I can call?

My (converted) flat wasn't shown on the RM database, and I rang them and was told I had to get the local Council to notify RM of the address, which I did, and my address was added. It did take a few days though.

That was what I (or rather the developer) did in July - have the LA register the address with RM.
Anyhow, filled up the online enquiry form to ask why the address was removed from the database and to have it re-instated immediately.
Within 2 hours received a response that the PAF was updated with the address - thought the email made no mention about why the address was removed from the database in the first place.
Just checked the website and the address is showing!
Hope it doesn't disappear again!
