Hi,
I ordered some clothes off the Internet to be sent to Verona in Italy. However, today I received an email to say the goods had been dispatched. The address is correct, apart from the country has been put down as the UK, and not Italy!! It has been sent out as a European delivery.
Is this likely to cause problems? Will the clothes reach Italy?
Thanks!

NO it shouldn't - but contact the sender anyway to alert them.

Thanks for the advice, I spoke to someone at the Royal Mail who seemed to think that it would be returned to sender?!TrueBlueTerrier wrote:NO it shouldn't - but contact the sender anyway to alert them.

If the sender has paid the correct postage and has the full address, albeit with UK on it, including the italian equivalent of the Postal/Zip Code then it "should" make it through. However, its impossible to rule out it being returned to sender and its a possibility, and they are giving you the official response, we are an unofficial site so we can give you an opinion which sometimes won't agree with the official one.Bluey100 wrote:Thanks for the advice, I spoke to someone at the Royal Mail who seemed to think that it would be returned to sender?!TrueBlueTerrier wrote:NO it shouldn't - but contact the sender anyway to alert them.

They have paid the correct postage, and it does indeed have the Italian postcode. Would the parcel be returned to sender while it is still in the UK? Thanks again!!

It could be, or the Italian Post Office could also return it to sender if they feel so inclined. To be honest there is no point in you worrying about it, my best advice is to contact the sender and advise them of their error and let them decide what to do. Or you could just leave it and hope everything goes okay. There aren't many options beyond those 2.Bluey100 wrote:They have paid the correct postage, and it does indeed have the Italian postcode. Hope you get it okay.
