It would probably be about one month for every year worked for MDEC staff
So my manager was right then lol

No, an employee with over 2 years service would get a minimum of 26 weeks VR, according to your manager someone with 2 years service would get 8 weeks VR.
And someone with 20 years service would get the maximum of 104 weeks VR, but according to your manager they would get 80 weeks VR.
He/she might be right somewhere along the time scale.
