Delivered to neighbour but no P739....

Post by hiddenwolf85 »

I had been waiting for a package but it could have taken up to 2 weeks.

Today I got my bank statement with x2 and 40 something either 45 or 43 written on it.

Should I not have had a P739 with more detail and clearer so I could tell where it is?

I am going to make a guess that your postie delivers to you before number 43 or 45. If I am right s/he had 2 packets for one of those addresses but no letters for them. So s/he didn't miss delivering them they marked the closest addresses mail as a reminder.

As to the your packet contact the sender 2 weeks is a long time to wait.

Contact the sorting office- they will find which postie... and the exact location of your parcels... you may find they run out of P739 cards, and had nothing else to write on. Not proffesional- but that would be a last case scenario for a postie without any cards and miles from his office.

x2 45 means that number 45 has two packets. It was probably written on your letter because 45 had no letters that day. It's to remind the posty that he has to take two packets out of his bag when he gets there. Nothing to do with you.

You will only get a P739 when you have a parcel and are out.
