Is there currently a backlog at UK customs, do you know?

I'm currently waiting on a couple of parcels from abroad (two different countries) that are taking far longer than I'd expect, based on previous experience with orders sent from those places.

Anyone know if there's any specific hold-up that might be causing this?

Have you tracked item?

Normally 9-10 days after it arrives in uk it clears customs and you get the customs charge card through :thumbup

One of them's not showing as having arrived in the UK yet on the tracking, although they don't always (it left the sender's country three weeks ago, apparently). The other wasn't sent tracked.

I've bought from both senders before and had no problems.

Just seems strange that two items from abroad would seem to be delayed at the same time.

Have you tried the tracking page at http://www.royalmail.com/trackdetails for the item which does have a tracking number?

i dont know if there is a backlog but we are getting a lot of foreign specials all of a sudden in our office more then normal
