Last week I mailed a letter to Coventry, via Canada Post and it has a tracking number says it has been at GBLALA, UK since August 1st. The expected delivery thing said it would be 3-7 days. This is the tracking number: RW917832427CA
I have an important piece of paper inside, and I would like to know what is going on with it. Any suggestions? One more thing, wouldn't there be an update if the item letter was delivered or attempted to be delivered

Re: Delivery help!
If its a letter size one then it may have been delivered by a walking postman who does not have a PDA and therefore would be unable to scan it for an immediate update. However they should have got a signature on a paper form and that will be scanned and posted on the system within a few working days.Rocky89 wrote:Last week I mailed a letter to Coventry, via Canada Post and it has a tracking number says it has been at GBLALA, UK since August 1st. Re: Delivery help!
It was a small letter envelope, and it hardly weighed anything. I asked for tracking because I wanted to know what it was, and it hasn't been updated since August 1st, and it is past the expected delivery date. Is there a number I can call about this?TrueBlueTerrier wrote:

You could call the Customer services Number which is 08457 740 740 that would log an official query.Rocky89 wrote:It was a small letter envelope, and it hardly weighed anything. There is no direct customer line to the HWDC (that's the GBLALA in RM language)
Your best option is if you are on twitter is to follow @RoyalMail and send them a direct message with the tracking number - they are active till 5pm and are generally very good indeed.

Re: Delivery help!
Thank you, I'll look into that number, as for twitter, I did talk to them on twitter, and they told me this- "We would have expected delivery by now so it's worth the recipient checking whether their local office is holding anything." And when I asked if a delivery would be updated to the system- "Yes, we would expect the tracking to show if it had been attempted/delivered."TrueBlueTerrier wrote:You could call the Customer services Number which is 08457 740 740 that would log an official query.

I'm calling from Canada, what is the area code for this number?

Re: Delivery help!
If it's a Canadian tracked item then it may not go into the PDA, I've had problems with Australian and Canadian barcodes recently, it may have been delivered without being scanned.

And maybe it's like all those Australian ones that have a thirteen digit number and barcode but aren't meant to be scanned or signed for on delivery over here.DGP1 wrote:If it's a Canadian tracked item then it may not go into the PDA, I've had problems with Australian and Canadian barcodes recently, it may have been delivered without being scanned.

Re: Delivery help!
By any chance, is there a way to have the letter returned?

Not officially - in fact it may even be against the various Postal Acts as we deliver to addresses rather than individuals and failure to deliver or delaying a delivery is actually a criminal act in UK Law.

Re: Delivery help!
Basically, I do not trust the people who are getting the money, they have not replied to my e-mails, and so many things seem fishy to me. I sent 2 e-mails to two of their email addresses, so hopefully they can understand my issue.TrueBlueTerrier wrote:NoRocky89 wrote:By any chance, is there a way to have the letter returned?
