Delayed post

Post by Sidley »

Neighbour has just had a cheque delivered 10 months after it was sent. It arrived in a different envelope to the one it was sent in and they are unable to cash it as it is now out of date. Customer services have been no help.
Email for someone who will be able to give them some answers please?

Cheers.

Can't they go back to the issuer, under the circumstances they should be able to get a replacement. Hopefully when they got the old cheque there was a letter of apology from Royal Mail and that should be enough proof.

If not then the standard claim form should suffice, though I would not be willing to say if it would be successful trying to get compensation from RM. :Very Happy

In that case I with it being in a different envelope and no covering letter I would contact the Security Desk as it all seems a bit dodgy. The Security Desk is the IB http://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/communit ... =2&t=13112" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Seems there was a covering letter after all, to the effect..
"Soz it took so long to get to you.
Best,
Royal Mail"

Customer service at its best.
