To coincide with the introduction of the national agreement unit payments will cease and the 3 items per week cap will be removed. D2D Monies will be turned into a delivery supplement paid 52 weeks a year for all delivery employees (OPG and ORR) pro rata for part time employees.

If that was unclear, you should have asked for clarification.
It meant all OPGs tagged to a delivery office. Indoor staff as well.

A predictable offer from RM. A one that would quite frankly probably get a yes from members if put to them.
For all what came out of the consultative ballot the union know this.

Will those in a rush to accept the pay deal relax it will only get better not worse.

So far on the back of an consultation ballot , Royal Mail have made this offer in attempt to buy peace so they can move forward their agenda which is to sell the company.

They know the continued opposition of the CWU and the general public is causing problems with the sell off. Some of the foreign pension funds who have been linked like the Californian Teachers have already pulled out. There are two other major privatisations ongoing which have more attraction then Royal Mail. The date is moving back.

The CWU strategy is quite clear to create the perfect storm to kill the sell off and protect our terms and conditions for a lot longer than 2016. Now if anyone has read the pension document then they will see that those in the pensions schemes Pre 2008 national insurance contributions increases by 1.4 in 2016 the third year of the pay deal.

Now the union wanted Royal Mail and the Government to make agreements legally binding on the following

Thar Royal Mail would remain an end to end service provider and there would be no break up of the company or sale of the indivdual functions

There would be no franchising of delivery routes and all employees will remain directly employed under CWU negotiated terms and conditions.

there would be no outsourcing

Existing job security agreements to remain in place unless renegotiated and the terms of MTSF to be extended for a further 5 years.

the Royal Mail Group to maintain its joint venture in ROMEC and Quadrant or bring these back in house

The Use of agencies and fixed term contract to be in line with current agreements

No two tier terms and conditions anybody joining the company would do so on the current terms.

The workforce to remain predominately full time 75/25 ratio

All nationally HR agreements to remain in place unless renegotiated

The IR agreement would be in place unless renegotiated.

Pensions to be protected.

All of these are worth fighting for and all that Royal Mail are offering is protection to 2016 on some.

Have you all noticed its 2.6% + £300 bribe first year/ 3.0% Second year don't think we will see that after we are privatised along with the £300 in the first year/ Third year 2.8% do you honestly think you will have a job?.

well,,,as I said its about 32 pund in total. just over a tenner a week. MPs have just awarded themselves 10 grand payrise, or 200 quid a week if you like. what did greenie get, was it a million and a half bonus?? never mind. we are just the riff raff and donkies.

My partner is a Social Worker who hasn't had any rise in the last 2 years so this looks on the surface a good deal.
It's when you start reading the small print that it gets a bit ugly, no striking for reward that takes away any leverage we have.

They should agree to pay all outstanding monies for the revisions before an agreed date before anything else.
then it should be a straight forward pay rise without any strings attached.

All in all, although this offer has been rejected, it does demonstrate that the company now appear to be serious about resolving issues that have been on the Union's agenda for some time.
The Union is committed to further negotiations and a meeting has been arranged with the company later this week.
