Anyone know when this boycott is likely to take place? If it does will posties have to segregate competitors' mail on the frame or will it be separated at sequencing stage? If the former then that's quite a job if you include parcels non sequenced mail etc.
It will start at the first point of contact! Mail centres will refuse to handle the incoming bags and tray get suspended and it will snowball!

I don't think it will happen, but if it does the CWU will have to get legal advice on the process and how they would go about it. They would therefore have to brief us anyway. To be honest its not worth worrying about there are much bigger issues which are more likely to get us out in the gate than DSA on its own.

Tnt want it , there shuffling themselves in postion to take advantage ,its the great plan. destroy state institutions introduce competition let them fight amongst themselves under cut each other while we pay ourselves massive bonuses on the boards of these companies

TNT would not want this company especially as they are reducing there workforce by 4000 and are trying to get there profits up. They do not have that type of cash available and would be very hard to borrow and especially the share holders would not want this acquisition .

The only "postal" company with the kind of loose change kicking about to buy Royal Mail are UPS.
We know they have the cash because they were all set to buy TNT Express for more than £4 Billion before the EU threw a spanner in the works.

I know they would like to get their hands on GLS and maybe even ParcelForce but they are not interested in the whole business as a going concern so it's unlikely they would be interested straight away.

I wouldn't put it past them though to make an approach after any possible sell off for the two parcel delivery companies.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

I have a feeling if parcel force is sold separately that we will then change our sizing prices again to take back the work we have lost!
