post office mistake?

Hi,

Yesterday i was charged 0.90p at the post office for a large letter which i'm certain was just over 100grams when it was put on the scales. Around 115g.

Should have I been charged £1.20 for this which I believe is the correct price?

Will my large letter likely be rejected?

Luckily I did ask for proof of posting.

if it had an horizon label on you will ok if stamps possible surcharge

All I saw was the person put a red first class large stamp on the package.

Won't be very happy if it gets returned as it's not my error!

On the receipt it says:
Horizon certificate of posting
an item addressed as follows: -
xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Has been accepted here today

I correctly paid the employee at the post office for the service I asked for, it's up to them to fulfil that service even if they made the mistake.

Have a feeling the package will be returned to me or my customer will get a note through the door saying you owe us £- to deliver this parcel.

My last post was for clarification.
It has already been pointed out that "if it had an horizon label on you will ok if stamps possible surcharge".
A 'Large' stamp is more likely than a horizon label so a £1.20 surcharge is a possibility but less likely being 15% over weight than say 50% over weight.

I am fairly sure that Horizon won't allow the printing of a label for 90p 1st class large and there isn't a £1.20 stamp, so it's pretty likely that, if a single stamp was applied, it was the 90p one. The receipt mentioned is actually proof of sending, if it has that wording. If the person at the other end is surcharged you seem to have pretty strong grounds to make a complaint via Post Office customer services.

Curious then.. how accurately do letters get weighed once posted? I am usually wary if my letter is 9.9g for worldwide... I decide to make it heavier to make it worthwhile for the next band up, just in case the RM machine says insufficient postage, it'll go by ship!
