Hey,
Last month I sent a item to Amazon using there trade in program. The parcel never got therer so my guess is that it got lost in the post, I used there freepost label they provide and put it through post box so didn't get any receipt ect of postage. At the moment amazon and royal mail have a investigation to see if they can find my parcel, what will royal mail do to me if they can't find the parcel. Will I get in trouble by them? What will they do, what is the process. Just a bit worried because the parcel lost and want to know what royal mail does, so just worried if I will get in trouble by the police ect.

Re: Lost parcel
you wont get in trouble, but as you only posted through a post box and didnt take it to a post office you have no proof of posting so the likelihood of a successful claim for compensation is very lowShaunW50 wrote:Hey,

Okay, so what will happen if royal mail can't find the parcel, will they keep on trying to find it?zx135 wrote:you wont get in trouble, but as you only posted through a post box and didnt take it to a post office you have no proof of posting so the likelihood of a successful claim for compensation is very lowShaunW50 wrote:Hey,

Well not to infinity but they will search/investigate as much as they thinks its viable to do so. If you have been honest and above board there is nothing to worry about. Thanks for posting on here as well saves me doing it on yahoo Answers

Re: Lost parcel
hahah no worries, I had a trade in parcel last year not turning up to amazon as well, I contacted them today see if they ever got it but haven't over a year. Royal mail didn't contact me either so I'm guessing they just closed the case because they couldn't find the parcel.TrueBlueTerrier wrote:ShaunW50 wrote:Okay, so what will happen if royal mail can't find the parcel, will they keep on trying to find it?zx135 wrote:you wont get in trouble, but as you only posted through a post box and didnt take it to a post office you have no proof of posting so the likelihood of a successful claim for compensation is very lowShaunW50 wrote:Hey,
