Hi there
I wondered if anyone could give me a few pointers for DMO?
I've been advised by a lady at RM to start using this software as a means to easily store proof of purchase to be printed at a later date (with time restrictions I believe). Is this easy to do using DMO and how long are they available to find in the system?
I currently use the OBA system only and I use a Mac. I know that the Mac OS is not supported and thus no tech support can be given but i've also been told by a member of the DMO team that plenty of businesses use it with a Mac with a driver called CUPS (if i remember rightly). I've also been advised that the following thermal printers are recommended, can anyone recommend any others - or are these definitely the best way to go?
Thank you very much in advance!
Paul

Re: Advice for DMO (despatch manager online)?
Looking at the Royal Mail side of DMO, it's easy enough to use and better than the system it replaced (Despatch Express). Of the customers that I have dealt with who use DMO, most seem fairly happy although a couple have found it slow. According to the T&Cs, data is currently retained for 13 months.
Details about CUPS can be found at http://www.cups.org/
The recommended thermal printer used to be the Zebra GK420d and I presume that still is the recommended one? I think RM have a deal with The Barcode Warehouse (who also supply RM's PDAs) to get customers a discounted price on that printer.
One advantage of DMO is it gets you access to Tracked and Tracked Next Day which seem quite popular with customers

Thank you for your reply. Yes, that is the recommended printer.
Do you know if first class, recorded & special are services that are also available or is it just the 24/48 tracked only? The reason I ask is that is the only service available on the demo.
Does anyone have any experience using CUPS with DMO please?
