Indonesian Agent

Post by acynx »

Dear Sirs,

I am a customer from Jakarta, Indonesia.

I am expecting delivery from royal mail,if I track my number through Royalmail, it said it's being held by my customs in Indonesia. But I track through my post office it said that the track number invalid or unavailable which mean from according to according post office that my item have not arrived in Indonesia.

what makes it strange that is the royal mail never update the status of my item since 27/2/2013.

can someone please help?

Thank you very much

I would assume you need to contact the Indonesian Customs. If it's not in the UK anymore, RM can only update their systems if someone in Indonesia scans it and updates RM.

Also your local post office may change the tracking number on arrival and not inform Royal Mail, this would explain the number not being accepted by your local tracking system.

Another thought, the rules on what can be sent by air have recently changed so it may have been sent by surface and be taking a long time to get to you.

Global Express is not a Royal Mail product is a ParcelForce one - its part of our Group but is a separate company - their tracking page is http://www.parcelforce.com/track-trace" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Its now overdue so contact the sender and get them to claim and send you a replacement - its a 2 day service so you should have got it weeks ago.

After for a few days hunting down my item at the airport cargo warehouse, finally I've found my items.

It seems if we use global express service from the parcel force, they will use Fed*x service to ship to Indonesia. And track number will have 2 numbers, one from the parcel force and one from the fed*x.

Yesterday I went to Fed*x cargo warehouse after a long discussion with my postoffice officer at the airport warehouse. They said sometimes shipment from UK use Fed*x. At Fed*x cargo warehouse, the employee helped me find my item using the shipper address and my local address.

Just an info here if someone having a trouble like me.

Thanks

Dear Royal Mail,

I also have similar problem with my delivery from UK via RM, the tracking said there was delivery attempt. So I wanted to know if I have to find where my item is stored right now, where should I go? Is there an indonesian agent that you have in Jakarta or should I go to a post office (and which post office?) or go to a courier company like FedEx.?
please help before my item will be sent back to UK

thanks
