Door To Door Opt Out
I wonder how many of you out there are thinking the same as me; if we are forced to take out up to 6 D2D's with no payment i will certainly passing on information to customers as to how to opt out of D2D's.
Despite some publicity in the past - i am thinking about the postie they sacked in Wales for encouraging his customers to opt i am sure alot of people still dont know how to opt out.
Well you can bet i will be telling all who want to know - not very good for 'the business' but thats how they make me feel now!
I know they can contact customer services on 08457740740 but i dont know how much the call costs? Another issue has just come to mind if it does cost to ring customer services why should people have to pay to stop unwanted and not requested mail - Surely it should be an opt in system, if you want it ask for it.
One last thing if we are still to be paid for D2D's ignore the above!!!!!!

"that will both increase reliability and capacity" the capacity meaning they are going to increase it but they don't mention a cap as they don't want a cap.

I think you'd get the sack for encouraging people to opt out of D2Ds. It's a fine line between providing customers with information about our services (i.e. how to opt out) and deliberately damaging RMs buisness.
I would suggest that any opt-out information be done on a personal basis in conversation and not given to anybody who has not asked for it. I'd also avoid giving people phone numbers on RM stationary, i.e. don't write the phone number on a P739 for them.
Remember that you do not want RM to lose buisness, you want their customers to complain to the point where RM will lose buisness if they do not come to and agreement with us.

There's quite lot of money to be made from recycling paper. Perhaps we could have collection points for used D2Ds in Post Offices? The profits to be used to pay postmen for delivering the D2Ds? So RM could do more of them with a clear conscience about the environment and postmen would get paid for the work?
