What's wrong with my parcel?

Post by linuxas21 »

Hello, I recently bought something on eBay, it was sent to Lithuania via Airsure. I wouldn't even bother about this, but my friend has a simmilar situation, and his parcel seem not to move anywhere from the point, neither coming to the country. I'm not saying same will happen to my parcel, but I'm quiet affraid that it's gonna happen. RU150892232GB This is my tracking code, it says it was despatched to Vilnius twice, no further information, which I am affraid about. I may be wrong about it, but neither my post office says that the parcel was received it Lithuania. Although, the same is happening to my friend parcels, three of them, two of them doesn't have tracking codes, but one of them was sent with airmail and shows just the same as mine. Tracking code is this: RU092566956GB . It says it was posted on 05/02/13. It is 22/02/13 at the moment, isn't it kind of strange? Is there anything we could do about this. I'm very affraid that it will get stolen (as I heard parcels are often stolen) or will come extra delayed. The item is needed as soon as possible.. I shouldn't have taken up Royal Mail :cuppa :hmmmm
Please suggest me anything about this, or I should just wait and hope it to appear at my post office?

Ok so both the parcels are in Lithuania and the Lithuanian Post Office's tracking system is not working, so no further information is available at this moment. As the parcels are in the hands of the Lithuanian Post Office it would seem the best course of action is to contact them directly.

I contacted them and they told that they don't have any parcel with this kind of tracking registered, not even customs office.. Although I found a tracking code of someone from Lithuania too, RJ826737537GB, escalated pretty quickly, and it shows when it was received in VILNIUS.

Which could simply mean that they didn't scan the barcode when they received it. On average how long does a parcel take to arrive in Lithuania from the UK?

I don't really know, I have to admit this is my first parcel coming from UK, some people tells that it takes a week, some that it takes about 4 days.. but as you can see from the tracking code I posted above, it changed from Despatched to Received state in two days. Tracking even works at post.lt/en.. I hope I'll have to wait a little more if my parcel won't get stuck as my friend's parcel did.. :arrrghhh

You don't get Airsure to Lithuania for some reason (but you do get it to Latvia and Estonia) - see http://www.royalmail.com/personal/inter ... 8-19350039

The numbers posted look like International Signed For (ISF) numbers and unfortunately Lithuania isn't on the list of countries which provide tracking for ISF items - see http://www.royalmail.com/personal/inter ... 8-19350033 - although the third number you posted (RJ826737537GB) shows that some ISF items are getting tracked there
