Help me with this international signed-for?
Hello to everyone,
I hope you can help me! I've bought an item from UK. Since 18th february, the tracking code is stuck to this status: "the item is ready to be sent!". It isn't arrived in Italy because it doesn't appear in the Poste Italiane website. Does this mean it got lost? What can I do?

It just depends on the workload at the MC, you really just need to wait to see if it comes through. 4 days doesn't seem that long really.manisa wrote:Your item, posted on 18/02/13 with reference RJ76GB has been received at our international mail centre and is being made ready for despatch overseas

Yes it is insured up to £50 but it will take a while for RM to admit that it is lost, if it IS lost and not just delayed.

I think it is the sender who has to claim the refund, as they are the customer.manisa wrote:Hello, since 18 February, the tracking is still stuck on ready to be shipped overseas, I think that the package is lost, can you tell me if signed for international are insured and is it possible to get a refund?

Re: Help me with this international signed-for?
If it hasn't arrived within the timescale set by the sender, then you need to ask the sender to sort the matter for you. A lost item is usually 15 working days for Royal Mail in the UK. If it's saying it's still in the UK then I guess that still applies.
However, to be honest, it could possibly have left the UK without a scan and be sat somewhere in Italy. Not wanting to slag off anyone in particular, but Italy's postal service isn't known for it's fantastic delivery rate...

The status is still stuck to "ready to be shipped". In Italy it isn't arrived because I can't track it on the Poste Italiane website (it says that the code doesn't exist), This is something that you don't know, but I can guarantiee that it is true, because I've already bought with this type of shipment and I could track my packages here in Italy,

Doesn't mean that Poste Italiane haven't scanned it though!manisa wrote:The status is still stuck to "ready to be shipped".
