wrong postcode

Post by bghhghghjhgjhk »

I have managed to order an item on the internet and enter the completely wrong postcode (my pc autofilled the postcode as its an old address and I didn't notice), but all the rest of the address is correct and my current house. Will this still reach me? or will it be returned to sender? They manage to take payment as I paid via paypal otherwise this oversight would have been noticed.

nb. i have seen other post with people who have had one letter wrong and worrrying, just the fact the postcode is completely wrong.

Is the address on Paypal correct (inc. postcode)? They might print the address from Paypal. If you search for the house number, road name and town on google maps does it only come up with one match?

The paypal is correct. there is only one match for my village actually, so that is a promising sign.

It might delay it but if the Post Code is different to the town (ie Glasgow is the destination but you had a post Code of HD1) then hopefully it should be rerouted.

The main problem is if for some reason the item is not delivered then you may not be able to claim from Royal Mail. I am warning you because of this recent case http://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/communit ... 18&t=50373" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Best advice is to contact the seller and see if they have dispatched it yet, if not it would be easy to solve the problem.

Given the amount of mail that gets delivered correctly with no postcode, an incorrect or even no address on, I wouldn't worry.
