hi i bought some goods from a chinese based company they gave me a tracking number. i entered the tracking number on china post site and it confirmed that it had been shipped out and that it was in the uk. this was on the 27/11/12 and i still have not recieved the goods. royal mail handles the item as designated by the first 2 letters of the tracking number RB i contacted royal mail and they have no record even though the address is correct as confirmed by e-mail from the company that i bought the item off. royal mail tracking cannot track the item from their site because it is from overseas they can only track items ending in GB not mine that ends in CN it is now well overdue the said delivery time any ideas?
tracking number is RB115779700CN THE COMPANY IS LEGIT BTW

Re: UNDELIVERED PACKAGE FROM OVERSEAS
It may be being treated as a recorded over here and so won't be scanned until delivery is attempted. It could also still be sat in customs in Heathrow (they can be there for a long time before being handed to RM to deliver).
If it hasn't arrived within the timescale the sender stated when you bought the item, then you need to ask them to process it as a lost item and issue you with a refund/replacement. They need to put in a claim with their postal service as they are the sender and therefore the customer.

I delivered a packet that was posted in Canada on the 20 November today........so I would think that it may be stuck in customs hell.

Re: UNDELIVERED PACKAGE FROM OVERSEAS
After a certain value there are duties to be paid, normally the item is released to an agent and then that agent recovers the duties and a handling charge. The other day I delivered a surcharge card to a customer for them to pay the charges before they would get the parcel. In the distant pass I received a letter from Parcel Force to pay the charges before item would be released to be delivered .
Bit of a long shot but check at your local delivery office to see if they are holding the item pending payment.
