Hello! I sent a letter off to Singapore from the Heslington Village post office today using Airsure, the lady at the counter told me that it would take less than 4 working days to get to Singapore, but the Royal mail's website says 6 days. I'm kind of regretting not using Parcelforce but it's too late now.
Just wondering, since there is possibly going to be delay due to the Christmas load, how bad can delays get? I need my letter to reach the destination in Singapore by the 31st December, is it likely to reach by then? Thank you!
Also, the last time I tracked, it was still in the post office. If I intend to retrieve the parcel and send it using Parcelforce, is it possible to head to the sorting office and change the type of delivery? Or should I just cross my fingers and hope for the best?

Airsure usually take a day longer according to...

I very much doubt it would get there before xmas, don't forget they are busy over there as well, and chances are it's been collected from the PO as well so there is no way of stopping it either.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Estimated delivery for Airsure to Singapore?
Hello, thanks for your reply! Fortunately I don't need it to arrive by Christmas (although that would be a nice bonus), but by the 31st. I realise that I have 8 working days (including the 31st december itself) for it to get there-- does it often get delayed beyond 6 working days though?

I used to send a lot of mail to family in Singapore. A normal letter/card would normally take about a week so I think you would be fine. Also don't forget that Boxing Day isn't a bank holiday out there so an extra working day for you.
