Dear Sir/Madam,
Over the past week I have been delivered parcels at approximately 0645hrs on a handful of occasions. This seems a little early in the morning to be woken up. Is this a 'normal' time to be receiving post?
Kind Regards

Re: Deliveries before 7am
Dear Sir,
I agree it is...around 15 minutes earlier than what is considered "best practice".
It is however only a guideline.
Back in the old days when we actually delivered mail at that time our instruction was not to knock on doors until 0700.
Regards.
FT.

Many thanks. I guess these early calls have come as a surprise having become used to 0930hrs onwards deliveries. I will wait and see if this continues after the busy Christmas period as I realise the postal service must be stretched to capacity at this time of year.

It's only happening because most offices have extra resources to deal with the extra packets, I doubt it will happen after Christmas when things get back to normal.carcher wrote:Many thanks. Is this possibly the politest post we've ever had on this forum?
