Dvbuk you were having a dig at London again , don't moan and groan if some of the union is standing up for the members. Demand yours do likewise.
Fish we have 17 PEC members and 5 national offices and we have 1500 delivery offices , we have 50 mail centres , 10 RDCs ,we have over 20 vocs , we have loads of post offices and we have cit units so you want those furtherest away from the issues to reprsent you ?
Fact is that we have a local rep structure , no other union has this in every workplace who negotiate and consult on all issues , we have a branch structure who get thousands of pounds per month to reprsent the members within their branch , you have an area rep structure , you have 18 Divisonal reps and 9 substitutes , you have 10 regional secretaries , you have parcel force regional officers you have ROMEC reps , you regional counters reps.
Those are the people who should be organising in the offices. In 2009 London said if any of our offices were attacked we would all ballot and we did and took 20 days of action it's called a union for a reason , we don't wait for headquarters as they are only as strong as the weakest link and I know as after the first day of the national strike action there were loads of offices ready to put up the white flag.
You can always catch people out in the union , loads call for a strike when they know it's never going to happen ', some of those people when we are in a strike demand we surrender.
I don't have anything to prove or justify my role is reprsent the members in London and I will continue to do that ! If you don't like that we stand together then your not a trade unionist.
