The definition of tough and organised at office level is an office that sticks together and protects every member, especially the weak.
The definition of tough and organised at area level is an area that sticks together and protects every office, especially the weak.
The definition of tough and organised at divisional level is a division that sticks together and protects every area, especially the weak.
And then for some strange reason the definition changes, the definition of our union at national level is a federal rat's nest of bitching, back biting and childish one-upmanship.
Out of the window goes the principle of an injury to one and in comes i'm all right jack,we'll fight our own battles and anyone who criticises us is just jealous.
When sitting in a divisional rep's meeting does the fact that some areas and even whole divisions are letting their members down ever come up in conversation?
Does anyone hold their hands up and admit they could do better or does the default position of blaming the members still hold the field?
It's fine to blame the members, eventually there will be so few in some areas the rep's can phone them up and blame them personally.
