Postal Votes

Post by enuff »

I can't use my legal duty ton vote this time as Royal Mail has lost my postal vote.

A whole batch were delivered to Llansamlet, first class, around November 1-2nd. Mine was not delivered and I have been trying to find where it could be.

One Royal Mail customer help said it might turn up on Thursday, the election day!

And more worrying, I have stopped junk mail, and one told me that I won't have election mail if junk mail is stopped.

Worrying in that with only about 10 to 15% turnout likely your vote just might make a bit of a difference  so best contact the Local Returning Officer, explain the situation and find out what they suggest. :Very Happy
Having 'stopped junk mail' will have made no difference to this.

Stopping junk mail will make no difference to this postal vote at all.

The details on the back of my card for postal voting state that "If you lose your postal vote or make a mistake, please phone the helpline straight away. We can only issue a replacement postal vote before 5pm on Thursday 15 November 2012". So I'd phone them sharpish if I were you.
Does this rag smell of chloroform to you?

who says royal mail have lost your voting paper ive heard of loads of people not having their postal vote delivered which makes me think its down to the electoral commission not sending them all out
