The fact is dingo its already happening and thats without a strike. A lot of offices are under pressure every day to meet targets and make a profit under unreasonable work loads. Being in the business that were in, changes will happen but at the rate its happening at is unprecedented.dingo wrote: I am talking the fact that to work to rule you have to ballot in line with the Trade Laws and only on a work to rule ballot. If you get a yes vote and decide to work to rule and cause a backlog then Royal Mail will normally flood your office with casuals and managers observing the way you sort , prep and follow you on delivery. They will target Indivduals who they think are not working normally
Casuals are still coming in to offices especially in the dundee area and thats after a revision which started two years ago this month. Managers from other offices are timing people, taking notes, and telling the person how well or not so well the person has done. Every week theres always someone or several people getting asked why are you cutting off? why did you claim docket when the traffic was below average?
In May 2010 moya joined royal mail and i knew then that things were going to get much worse. Looking at moyas track record in canada post is scary...she does not care about the work force its all about the profits. Another strike will be the final nail in the coffin for royal mail and the union know it.
