1 Delivery in a week, Ingatestone area

Post by mmaarrkk »

I am waiting on a lot of parcels and letters at the moment, including tax discs for three cars and around 10 parcels, some of which are quite high value, I have been on the look out for the post man this week but have only had a delivery on Tuesday (this was in a white non RM marked van?). On Tuesday there was around 12 pieces of post, half parcels and half letters, a lot of the letters were birthday cards which were late, didnt check the date stamp on them at the time but we didnt get a delivery on Monday (date of birthday) and havent had a delivery since. A few of the parcels are signed for but have not been signed for so are not recorded as being delivered. I know for a fact they were posted quite a few days ago and am still waiting on parcels from last week

If there is no post today how do I go about complaining and to who?, my usual postman is good, friendly and helpful, he normally turns up between 1 and 2pm, then there is another one who doeesnt turn up till gone 3 sometimes, I asked the friendly postman are we on the end of the delivery line but he said no, about half way through, I dont really remember going this long before without a delivery, it will be interesting to see how many turn up in one go as there must be at least another 10-15 parcels/letters (value is something like 600pounds) as I am a little worried and quite a bit more annoyed.

Thanks in advance for the help.

I've no idea where Ingatestone is, after googling it comes up with Essex. Assuming you are in Essex perhaps this may be affecting your service http://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/communit ... od#p428421" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

i am part of CM post code, CM4 to be exact, but that just over a year ago, I would hope that they would have sorted those problems by now!

Given its a 2 in a van modernisation story and that mot of these appear to be running into problems on a daily basis in the rest of the country (some after 2 years) your optimism for it getting sorted by now, whilst admirable, is perhaps a little naive, but understandable.

Also To be fair to you the Industrial Relations in that area aren't very good at the moment with the Union saying bullying is rife and the rounds being too big, it looks like you have been caught up in that - that s unofficial though RM won't tell you this.

To answer your question there are 2 options available. You could write a letter to the Delivery Office Manager for your post code and wait for a reply. However, this would not be classed as an official complaint and would not be recorded anywhere. A phone call to them would not be advisable as their numbers are not usually given out, and to be honest they won't usually reply.

The official way unfortunately is to use the 08457 740 740 and its glacial menu system. Once a complaint is registered then AFAIK you should receive a response and hopefully an explanation.

Good luck
