Probably not at Heathrow now, more than likely its in Greece. But don't forget that Greece is in a bit of turmoil at the moment, General Strikes, Local strikes, people not being paid form months, riots, marches, the list could go on, however any one of these could mean its been delayed at some point in its travels. In fact their Postal Union has called a strike for 18 October so thats probably going to delay it even more.

Hi,
thanks for the quick answer!
Yes you are right, I know the situation in Greece and their problems, just thinking that the tracking should be updated also as soon as the parcel would leave Uk, correct?

I mean, look, these are the trackdetails from an earlier sent package:

If there is trouble in Greece there may be a backlog at Heathrow.

I see your point but I doubt thats the case.
I believe Royal Mail will forward all the international mail to the destination and if there is trouble there, it will sit there for ages .
Could it be possible that it is already sent but not scanned at the airport? :hmmmm

Always possible as is anything that involves human interaction, but I still think Wallop has it right, it may be waiting in Heathrow because of a back log at Athens, or even have made it to Athens but not scanned by them.

To be fair though Royal Mail are not making Greece the subject of any announcements in their International Incident Bulletin but that could mean anything or nothing. http://www.royalmail.com/customer-servi ... tin#Europe" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

We need some context is it coming in, or going overseas, being returned to sender - also it might have more information on this site http://www.royalmail.com/trackdetails" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I'm Post Office and you will need an RM bod to help. But as TBT says in the post above, they will need context: where it's going, service used etc. In my limited experience, the tracking information above might imply a Dangerous Goods Act issue, so a brief description of the contents may also help.
